…but the Kitchen Sink
All the other fun I have been able to have over the years
A phrase that my dad used to say, meaning “including every possible item or consideration in a situation” or in this case, all other things I that has shaped my view of experiences.
Maverick Records
After college, I wanted to continue to find ways to keep myself involved in music, so I worked as the midwest representative for Maverick Records, where I supported Muse’s first North American tour of the United States opening for the Red Hot Chili Peppers & Foo Fighters.
I had a front row view of the band, the experience and the work put in to promote an album - across 3 shows (Columbus, OH, Bloomington, IN) in the midwest and countless record stores visited in support. Sitting on the side of the stage in Assembly Hall in Bloomington, IN just a few feet from Flea of the RHCP made for a magical evening.

Rock 107.1 FM - WEDJ
I worked as an overnight disc-jockey and swingman on-air for a hard rock station in Indianapolis. ROCK 107.1 FM (WEDJ) in Indianapolis has a history of branding changes related to its format. Initially, in October 1999, it began as "107.1 The Edge", playing active rock. However, due to copyright issues with the name "The Edge," the station rebranded shortly after as "Rock 107".
This rock format provided an alternative to another Indianapolis rock station (X103 - WRZX), but signal issues with WEDJ's transmitter outside Indianapolis made it difficult to compete with them. This heavy rock format was only on the air for only 18 months and went off the air in March 2001.
As of late 2000, WEDJ operates as a Regional Mexican radio station, serving the Indianapolis metropolitan area and calling itself "Radio Latina".
ABC Sports - Production Assistance, Indianapolis 500
I worked as a production assistant for ABC Sports broadcast of the Indy 500 & Brickyard 400 in 1998. I was able to see & work in a live sports production up close & personal. I was able to learn more about what it takes to work in live sports & production environments.
